India Issues High-Alert Directive to Civil Aviation Nationwide

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has issued a high-alert directive to all airports and civil aviation stakeholders across India, following intelligence information from a central security agency that warned of a possible terror threat between September 22 and October 2. The advisory which was reported by the Press Trust of India (PTI) calls for enhanced security measures at all civil aviation installations nationwide.

Authorities in the civil aviation sector are urged to intensify surveillance, increase patrolling and tighten access control to safeguard passengers, staff and infrastructure. Airlines, airport operators and security forces are coordinating closely to ensure heightened vigilance during the aforementioned critical period.
