Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police have established joint security committees to enhance the protection of public transport riders and infrastructure. The newly signed MoU formalizes cooperation on threat monitoring, emergency response, information sharing, and the development of unified security standards across current and future transport projects.
The initiative includes the creation of a Lifeline Transport Security Committee and four specialized sub‑committees covering strategy, operations, emergency response, and future projects. Officials emphasized that the partnership strengthens Dubai’s ability to safeguard its expanding multimodal transport network.
