Five people were hurt in a stabbing at New York’s Penn Station on Sunday evening June 7, police and fire officials said. One victim had serious injuries and the others were taken to hospitals with injuries that were described as moderate or minor, according to FDNY officials.
A suspect, who is thought to have mental health issues, was taken into custody by Amtrak police after the attack, according to a senior law enforcement official.
The suspect, later identified as Hector Deleon, has a history of past crimes in New York and New Jersey, law enforcement officials reported.
