Stabbing on Train to Mumbai Leaves Man Dead

A 33-year-old man died after being stabbed on a moving local train in Mumbai following a minor argument with another passenger on Saturday, January 24. A man named Omkar Shinde, who has no prior criminal record, has been arrested for allegedly carrying out the fatal attack. The victim was identified as Alok Kumar Singh, who was working as a professor at a private college.

The stabbing took place when the train was entering Malad station in Mumbai, which was Singh’s destination. The accused fled the scene as the train came to a stop but was later arrested.

Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel rushed the wounded college professor to a hospital nearby. The man succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
