TSI Sets Record with 3.09 Million Travelers Screened on Sunday, December 1

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported that a new record of treavelers screened was set on Sunday December 1, after the Thanksgiving holiday.

TSA reported screening 3.09 million people breaking a previous record by around 74,000 people. That record was set July 7 after the Forth of July holiday.

In spite of the record being set, there were cancellations and delays. Airlines canceled around 120 U. S. flights and more than 6,800 flights were delayed for various reasons. Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Intl. Airport and Chicago O’Hare Intl. had the most delays.
